Civil Protection in Lonato and Bedizzole Unveils New Emergency Truck

Lonato del Garda and Bedizzole have added an operational truck to the Inter-municipal Civil Protection Group to strengthen emergency response and to ease transport of heavy or bulky materials needed for interventions.

The vehicle, presented on 23 December at the group’s headquarters, features a seven-seat cab and an on-board crane and will be used exclusively for logistical support of volunteer crews, including movement of equipment such as the pneumatic tent acquired in 2023. The purchase cost €23,975 plus VAT and was co-financed by the two municipalities with Lonato acting as lead administrator; the handover was attended by mayors Roberto Tardani and Giovanni Cottini and several Lonato officials.
