Croce Bianca Launches 24/7 Ambulance Supporting Local and National Charities

During the day in Torri, and at night in Garda: the new ambulance of the Croce Bianca operates twenty-four hours a day.

Furthermore, it is ready to lend assistance at any moment to Abeo, the organization that supports children with hemophilia and cancer.

The announcement was made by the president of Croce Bianca, Fabio Raguzzi, during the recent inauguration of the new vehicle available to volunteers.

The Croce Bianca is based in Torri and also has a branch in Garda.

Partnerships and Activities

“We have committed ourselves to supporting Abeo,” said Raguzzi, “making ourselves available to conduct transports on behalf of this important organization from Verona to all of Italy.

For this activity, each of our volunteers, including the president, has dedicated one or two days of their vacation.”

To solidify the partnership, at the inauguration ceremony held along the Garda lakeside, there was Grazia Milani, the representative of the Verona-based Abeo.

Present were also the mayors of Garda, Giorgio Comencini, and Malcesine, Giuseppe Lombardi, the two bordering municipalities that contributed financially to the purchase of the new ambulance.

Alongside the two local administrations, significant contributions also came from banking institutions and private companies.

The volunteers of Croce Bianca themselves contributed financially.

“The new ambulance,” emphasizes Raguzzi, “will be available throughout the summer.

I believe this is an important response to the needs of the tourist areas of the Baldo-Garda region.

Moreover, with this vehicle, we are able to ensure a professional service even for transports abroad.”

The vehicle, a Mercedes 312 turbodiesel, has been equipped with a pediatric unit and a thermal cot, also to better meet the needs of Abeo.
