Venice-Geneva Express Stops at Peschiera Boosts Summer Travel
From Venice to Geneva with a stop at Peschiera: this is the service, operated by the Ferrovie dello Stato, that throughout the summer period, until September 4th, will allow the Venice-Geneva express to make a stop on the tracks at Peschiera shortly after midnight every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
The stop already existed for the outbound trip of the same train, while the stop on the return from Venice was only established last year on a trial basis and was so successful that it has been proposed again.
Comment from the President
“We are very pleased with this collaboration,” says Ferruccio Bonato, president of the Associazione Operatori Economici arilicense. “Because for a tourist destination like ours, direct connections to other major hubs are essential.”
Venice, an Unmissable Destination
“Traveling to Venice by car is a problem for everyone at any time of the year, let alone during these months and for a tourist, possibly foreign; but Venice is an unmissable destination, and knowing that it can be reached comfortably by train, based in Lake Garda, can only be the best solution for our guests.”
