Riva Commemorates Partisan Victims 56 Years After 1944 Massacre

Fifty-six years after the massacre, the memory of the partisans who fell victim to Nazi-Fascist barbarity on June 28, 1944, was honored in Riva by the municipalities of Riva, Arco, Nago Torbole, and Tenno.

The memorial mass was followed by a procession of representatives from the ANPI (National Association of Italian Partisans) and armed associations, led by the Alpine band, which from Piazza Cavour reached Loggia Pretoria, where a wreath was laid on the plaque commemorating the fallen residents of Riva.
