Brescia-Elba Island Flights Restart with Avio Ares Service
Flight Initiative Between Brescia and Elba Island
Three flights per week, all on weekends, will connect Brescia with Elba Island starting the day after tomorrow, August 4. The initiative is by Avio Ares, the airline of the Gruppo Sorlini of Brescia, which will use a 9-seat American Cessna aircraft for this route and will collaborate with Brevivet.
This is not an entirely new development, as last year Avio Ares successfully offered the same service, representing a new but significant addition to the expansion plan of the “D’Annunzio” airport.
An important piece, especially because it involves two major Brescia-based operators, the Gruppo Sorlini and the Brevivet tour operator, who openly declared yesterday during the flight presentation press conference their strong belief in the potential of Montichiari and their ongoing plans for more proposals focused on Brescia’s airport infrastructure.
Details of the initiative and schedule
But first, let’s look at the initiative set to start in a couple of days.
The schedules
As mentioned, Avio Ares schedules three flights each week: the first on late Friday afternoon (departure at 17:00, arrival at Elba at 18:20; new departure from the island at 18:40 and arrival at Montichiari at 20:00); the second on Saturday (departure at 8:30 in the morning, arrival at Elba at 9:50; returning in the evening with departure from Elba at 18:20 and arriving back at 19:40); and the third on Sunday (departure from Montichiari at 8:30 and arrival at 9:50, with return in the evening from Elba departing at 18:00 and arriving at 19:20).
Costs
fares do not change depending on the day or week (the service is currently scheduled until September 17, but extensions are possible).
A round-trip ticket for an adult costs 600,000 lire, 420,000 lire for children up to 12 years old, and 180,000 lire for children up to two years old (the one-way costs are 350,000, 245,000, and 150,000 lire respectively).
Reservations
The collaboration with Brevivet also involves handling reservations, which can be made not only through the airline but also via Brevivet.
Not a secondary detail: those who book most of the seats on a flight can also arrange for schedule changes. (g.f.b.)
