Amsa and Palacongressi Resume Collaboration for Tourism Growth
Reopening of Dialogue between Amsa spa and Palacongressi
It has been just over ten days since the dinner for ten guests hosted by provincial tourism councilor Marco Benedetti at the family restaurant, aimed at thawing the frost that had settled between Amsa spa and Palacongressi. After the disrespect of excluding the Casino from the exhibition spaces of the June Expo Schuh, it is already possible to record a first sign of better times, which we choose not to call historic to avoid stating an overly obvious banal truth.
Meetings and Dialogues between Institutions
At the Amsa headquarters, specifically in the Casino — which remained without shoes due to a decision seen by some as a form of retaliation for the exclusion of Lido di Riva from the founding capital of the joint-stock company — on Wednesday evening, the presidents of Palacongressi, Gianni Zontini, and of Lido di Riva, architect Mauro Malfer, as well as the Amsa board of directors, with president Gianni Caproni, vice-president Marcello Carli, and board members Alessandro Banal, Enzo Benedetti, Ferruccio Chemolli, and Ennio Righi, met.
Since the thawing meeting began immediately after Amsa’s ordinary board meeting, which was attended by Dr. Nadio Delai to present the feasibility study for the use of the Linfano areas north of the coastline (which is under negotiations with Dr. Domenichelli of Porto Arco, potentially leading to a rewriting of art. 31 of the building regulations and a revision of the urban restrictions imposed by the Piani Regolatori Generali – PRG), the consultant also participated in the subsequent discussion.
Perspectives of Collaboration and Tourism Development
The dialogue took place in a climate that President Gianni Caproni described as friendly and constructive: a path has reopened toward the initiation of a broad cooperation between Amsa and Lido di Riva, with a shared focus on requalifying the tourist offer, participating in the recovery and creation of accommodation structures even beyond their respective sectors.
In an area that, to attract tourists in the coming decades, must not only exploit the lake resource but also extend to the hinterland and the mountains, integrating a unified offer that maximizes, respects, and protects the entire Basso Sarca region, naturally suited to leisure activities.
