Lake Town Revitalization: Investments and Growth in the Local Economy

The town, which has 46 hotels offering 1,690 beds, 8 outdoor accommodation facilities, and 253 shops—including 23 dedicated solely to food products.

“We presented ourselves to summer tourists in 2000 with several important public works projects. Besides the renovation of the municipal square, we completed the furnishings along the lake promenade, restored the beaches, and built a pedestrian passage under the railway bridge of Milan-Venice.

On the private side, many economic activities (campgrounds, hotels, shops) have upgraded their facilities to take advantage of the new opportunities provided by the General Regulatory Plan.

All of this has brought wealth to the municipality in terms of urbanization charges, creating the potential for future investments and establishing solid economic foundations without raising taxes.

A round of applause therefore goes to those entrepreneurs who rolled up their sleeves and seized the opportunity.”
