Lake Garda Events Spotlight: Festivities, Concerts, and Cultural Festivals
It is Toscolano Maderno that demands the most attention this weekend on Lake Garda. Today, from Campione, aboard the Regina motorboat, the relics of Saint Ercolano are returning. Along the lakeside, there are stalls selling sweets. The fireworks show is scheduled for 11 p.m. Two Navigarda ferries are operating in the gulf, offering embarkation from all localities on the Brescia side. Tomorrow, at 9 p.m., the municipal band will perform in Piazza San Marco. On Sunday, at 9:15 p.m., the Cantalago will perform at the former polo field. On the 13th and 14th, there will be the Solidarity Trophy organized by the Alpini at the skating rink.
Events in Gardone Riviera and Surroundings
At the Vittoriale in Gardone Riviera, tonight features “Il Trovatore” and tomorrow, Verdi’s “La Traviata”. On Monday, Gene Gnocchi will present “The Civil Responsibility of School Janitors During Summer”. Along the lakeside, tonight the rock band “Vizi d’arte”, with guitarist Federico Ferran, will perform; on Sunday, the jazz and pop sounds of Elena Sbalchiero, Massimo Saviola, and Mauro Susa.
Events in Salò and Lake Garda
Today in Salò, the “VelaVento” event begins: organized by the Canottieri, this will run until August 20. Tomorrow and Monday, at 9:30 p.m., concerts will take place in Piazza Duomo. In Cunettone, until the 13th, the Motor Show features a drugster equipped with an aircraft turbine and an American car with a thousand horsepower (which destroys cars). In Gargnano, the Sasso Festival continues, with the popular bingo game El Fuff on Saturday at 9 p.m., games at 4 p.m., gastronomy at 6 p.m., and the Blue Man performance at 8:30 p.m. On Monday, there will be a beach party at the Bogliaco harbor, with disco music and local dishes. In Navazzo, the procession of the Madonna takes place.
Also on Monday, the statue of the Virgin will be transported from Montecastello to Gardola in Tignale. During the “Five Days of Art and Culture”, which runs until Sunday, around twenty exhibitions are scheduled (open from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.), along with concerts and debates. In Tremosine, on the 13th and 14th, in the Sermerio hamlet, the Volunteer Festival will be held, featuring orchestras led by Bruno Amadori and Chicco De Matteo. There will also be a treasure hunt, children’s games, and a giant pasta feast.
Events in Passo Nota, Campione, and Limone
At Passo Nota, on the 14th, an event for mountain enthusiasts will take place. In Campione, on Monday, there will be a Latin-American music event. In Limone, on Sunday at 9 p.m., the “Live Rock Beach Party”, organized by local youth, will be held. Thousands usually attend.
Events in the Lower Lake Area
Moving to the lower lake. In Desenzano, tomorrow, the spectacular “Night of Enchantment” will take place: after the parade of decorated boats, thousands of lanterns will shine on the water. The fireworks display will end at 10:30 p.m. In Piazza Malvezzi at 9 p.m., the band “Cocco Latino” will perform.
In San Martino della Battaglia, from tonight to Ferragosto, the Wine Festival will be held: the 25th edition. In Sirmione, the Alpini Festival runs from tonight through Sunday, along the lakeside in Lugana. In Lonato, for the cinema in the Fortress, screenings include “Under Suspicion” (August 11-12) and “Dreaming Africa” (from August 13 to 15).
Events in Valtenesi
Now, in Valtenesi. Padenghe will host the Festa dello Sportivo until Ferragosto, with races in track and bocce, ballroom dancing, and local cuisine (in Piazza D’Annunzio). Moniga hopes to recover the event with Brunetto, which has been postponed twice due to bad weather. On Sunday, at Villa Bertanzi, the flamenco performance “La Moreria” will take place (admission 10,000 lire).
In Manerba, outdoor cinema will be screened at the former parish theater of Solarolo: on the 12th, Tarzan; on the 13th, “Bread and Tulips” by Soldini. Tomorrow, as part of the “Harmonies Under the Fortress” series, pianist Aldo Ciccolini will perform at 9:15 p.m. in the Santa Maria church.
In Polpenazze, tomorrow at 9 p.m., Charlie Cinelli will perform in Piazza Bolchi. In Portese di San Felice, the San Fermo Festival will take place: in the olive grove park next to the parish church, there will be food and dancing (tomorrow the Rotorua band, Sunday Rudy and Ivan); Monday evening, a procession will return the statue home, a tradition every five years. For the open-air cinema in the courtyard of the town hall, screenings include T as Tigro tonight, Fight Club tomorrow, and Breaking Out on Sunday.
