Lake Garda Water Levels Stabilize After Recent Alarm Issued by Navigarda
The alarm has subsided, at least for the moment, regarding the water levels of Lake Garda. A warning issued in recent days primarily by Navigarda, which highlighted the risk to docking facilities at some ports served by passenger vessels, particularly hydrofoils. Currently, the situation seems to have eased slightly, as the water levels, constantly monitored by the Magistrato alle acque di Verona personnel, have reached 67 centimeters above the hydrographic zero point at Peschiera.
Water level situation and related incidents
Several weeks ago, the minimum threshold, the point of concern, reached 56 cm, putting the docks at Sirmione, Peschiera, Bardolino, and Lazise in crisis. Meanwhile, Navigarda has expressed great satisfaction with the seasonal passenger transport trend, which could, if not surpassing, at least reach the two million transported passengers mark, a threshold already achieved last year.
