Italy Celebrates Car Enthusiasts, Art, and Wine With Multi-Event Gathering
Sunday is all about gatherings: the second meetup of 500 and derivatives and the fourth friendship festival for painters, who participate in the national painting contest.
Expect over fifty teams tomorrow morning at the La Carica restaurant parking lot, coming from Torino to Trieste, and from Bolzano to Pesaro, all onboard the legendary 500. At the inaugural edition, more than 45 cars responded to the invitation, with the farthest and award-winning vehicle coming from Pesaro.
That occasion also saw the award of the largest group. This year’s gathering introduces a novelty: among female drivers and passengers, a «miss 500 of 2000» will be elected. A fun initiative that revisits the classic theme of «women and engines», a favorite among enthusiasts.
Wine tour and awards
In the morning, thanks to the valuable collaboration of the Consorzio del Vino Bardolino and the participation of several wineries, the wine tour will take place, exploring the flavors and products of the lake area.
The caravan of cars will depart from the meeting point and will stop at Lamberti winery in Pastrengo, awarded for the best Bardolino DOC wine. The tour will continue to Dante Righetti winery, exploring flavors and tasting wines, concluding with a lunch at the restaurant.
The celebration will go on until evening with good music; all participants will receive a commemorative glass, a T-shirt, and a bottle of wine.
Friendship festival and artistic activities
Simultaneously with the gathering, the Promotion Center and the «La Carica» Artistic Circle will organize the fourth friendship festival tomorrow, a now unmissable event celebrating art for all painters participating in the national painting contest, which takes place every year during the «Carica» on April 30.
This year, the painters will work en plein air across five courtyards in Pastrengo. After the painting sessions, the festival will continue at the Natura Viva park in Pastrengo, hosted by Avesani, with a lunch and an exhibition of the submitted works.
