The irresponsible habit of abandoning dogs in the towns of the lower Garda area continues. This situation is increasingly worrying the mayors of Desenzano and Sirmione, who are working on the development of a district kennel, in collaboration with the municipalities of Montichiari and Calcinato, with approximately 200 spaces. This topic was discussed some time ago, but for months, no one has spoken about this potential project. Some private individuals, true “friends” of these four-legged animals, are also committed beyond their capacities in rescuing and caring for abandoned dogs. Cruel methods, such as abandonment, which can also turn into real dangers for humans, causing accidents or even serious hazards in case of bites.
