Garda Wine Festival and Cultural Events in Historic Towns
Harvest time with early festivities around Garda and the surrounding areas, celebrating the grape harvest, but also featuring tastings of wines, sparkling wines, and grappa. This is all set against a backdrop of musical entertainment, sporting events, and patronal festivals. — Today. Four days of events including the “Osei Festival” in Cisano di Bardolino and dance evenings paired with enogastronomy, while tonight at 9 PM, the parish church of the town hosts the second concert of organ music with Sandro Carnelos (organ) and Alberto Bevilacqua (flute).
Events in historical and artistic towns
In the courtyard of the castle in Castelnuovo’s historic center, the grand finale of “Estate 2000” features a concert of secular music from the 15th and 16th centuries performed by the Istituzioni Harmoniche conducted by Paolo Faccincani, while in Caprino, at Villa Carlotta, from 10 AM to 12 PM and 4:30 PM to 7 PM, “Via Matris,” a meditative pictorial reflection on the life of Mary presented by Ismaele Chignola.
At Torri, at the Scaliger Castle, at 9 PM, a concert of medieval music titled “Canti dei Pellegrini” performed by Cremonese Collegium Musicum takes place, while at Malcesine Castle, exhibitions continue: one of sculptures by Novello Finotti and one of paintings by Athos Faccincani.
Music and arts festivals and events
The band invades the square in Riva, in Brollo Park, with celebrations and concerts promoted by the Riva Band Club; in Torbole, at the Colonia Pavese, a concert featuring the Castel Penede choir; and in Arco, at the Climbing Stadium, at 8:30 PM, a bouldering master competition.
Along the Brescia Riviera of Garda: an art trilogy in Lugana di Sirmione (Hotel Dogana) opening at 5:30 PM; three days of grape festival in Lugana and at Piazza Malvezzi in Desenzano, featuring a concert by the town’s band. —
