Earthquake Strikes Destra Adige Area with No Damage Reported

The earthquake map, between those strong enough and others only felt instrumentally, shows a multitude of signs in the Baldo area. Since yesterday morning, there is one more.

Yesterday morning’s earthquake

At 7:49 AM, the earth trembled for a few seconds. The monitoring system used by the province to oversee the entire Trentino territory confirmed that the epicenter was about ten kilometers south of Avio, in Destra Adige, within the municipality of Belluno Veronese, at a depth of 12 kilometers.

Magnitude 3.3 on the Richter scale (which measures the energy released by the quake), equivalent to a fifth degree on the Mercalli intensity scale (which indicates effects on buildings and people). No damage was reported, although glasses tinged in cabinets rattled, and there was some fear among residents who clearly felt the tremor.
