Nago Plans Parking, Sports Facilities, and Site Redevelopment

An area in need of reinvention, located on the north side of the Casa della Comunità in Nago. The municipal administration is considering, in fact, better utilization of the 3000 valuable square meters at the entrance of the town, and is currently beginning to do some planning calculations.

Primarily, to create an underground parking lot, which is sorely needed in Nago. Approximately 70 parking spaces, to be added to the 30/40 existing surface spots. Some of the spaces (at least thirty) could be allocated to private owners to cover costs, or alternatively, designated for paid parking during weekends, excluding residents.

Reduction of the tennis courts and new locations

This would eliminate the tennis courts. But it wouldn’t be a sacrifice. According to reports, the court is infrequently used, and there is the prospect of constructing a new one, possibly within the future school center, alongside other sports facilities.

Even better, the plan is to concentrate all municipal tennis activities at Busatte, including the courts on Via Strada Granda in Torbole. The bocce courts will remain, with plans to build a state-of-the-art, covered facility, also relying on Coni contributions or at least subsidized loans.

Sports facilities and support structures

Additionally, next to the bocce courts—and also covered—there will be a support area mainly for use during the winter months. Apart from Coni, which supports the sports sector, the Comune intends to recover two-thirds of the necessary funding through the sale of Mala.

The same financial intervention plan also includes Acquais parking with 12/14 spaces and a facility for 3 buses at the old cemetery.
