Puegnago del Garda Hosts 8th Brescia Truffles Show with Conferences and Tastings
All set in Puegnago del Garda to host the two intensive days dedicated to the 8th edition of the “Provincial Show-Trade of Brescia Truffles,” including extra virgin olive oil, typical wines, honey, brandies, and local cheeses.
With this well-established initiative, the Municipality of Puegnago aims to offer, within the context of the event itself, two significant opportunities.
Training and update opportunities
“The first—says Mayor Gianfranco Cominciali—is specifically aimed at updating young people’s knowledge regarding the growing socio-economic-cultural value of the new economy through a conference scheduled for Saturday morning, November 25, in the council chamber, starting at 10:00 a.m., titled “Internet: understanding the market to grow”.
The second—Cominciali continues—is directed at those who see truffle cultivation as an additional opportunity for professional enrichment in the field of specialized crops, which are also possible on the hills of Valtenesi.”
For this second “opportunity,” a conference is also scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday, November 26, again in the council chamber, starting at 5:00 p.m., under the title “The Truffle in the Province of Brescia”.
Other initiatives and cultural moments
Of these two particular and interesting moments, it is also worth mentioning the “Grand Gala of the Sportsman,” scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, and organized in collaboration with the Sport Department of the Province of Brescia.
All regional and national athletes who have gained fame during their sporting careers will be present.
At the end of the conference, there will be a tasting of typical dishes such as Pendette with Truffle and Cheese, accompanied by the new and apparently already labeled “excellent” Chiaretto, a wine from the recent 2000 harvest, which, as previously confirmed, presents an exceptional vintage for Garda wines.
The official inauguration ceremony will take place on Sunday morning, November 26, immediately after the religious “day of thanksgiving” ceremony, scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
In the evening, to conclude this edition, the “Combricola Oratorio di Botticino” will present the theatrical comedy “Best Wishes Nina”.
It goes without saying, as the title already suggests, that during the “Show,” visitors will have the opportunity to purchase truffles and cheeses, as well as enjoy other products present at the Fair, such as oil, wine, brandies, and honey.
