Gardesana Event Highlights: Book Launches, Research, and Local Tourism

Trentino archbishop Mons. Luigi Bressan was a welcomed guest at the Gardesana publishing event organized by the association «Il Sommolago» at the Casino. The Prelate, accompanied by the exhibition coordinators, spent a long time browsing the stands where the complete Benacus book production was on display, consisting of over 1,300 volumes of all kinds and various publications. Mons. Bressan also expressed particular interest in the volume and the accompanying exhibition dedicated to Liubov’ Dostoevskaja, the daughter of the renowned Russian novelist.

In addition to the distinguished guest, the «stalls» at the Casino attracted a very large audience for a week, coming from beyond the Gardesana region. The traditional side events were also well attended. Among these was the round table discussion on the prospects of Altogardesano tourism, with speakers including assessor Benedetti, the president of the Apt Meneghelli, expert Enzo Bassetti, and journalist Alberto Folgheraiter.

Events and Presentations

The success also extended to the presentation by don Marcello Farina of the volume «Non sappia la destra ciò che fa la sinistra». Noteworthy were the high-profile Altogardesano research by the renowned limonese Prof. Domenico Fava. This year, the scholar notably previewed an interesting diary of World War I written by an Italian officer concerning the Trentino front.
