Felice Naalin Unveils Zodiac-Inspired Angel Icons at Desenzano Club
A return, this of Felice Naalin, requested after the public and critical success of last year at Sesto Senso. The exclusive Desenzano Club, which traditionally sets trends, still hosts on its pista, in preview of the Venice Carnival, the Veronese artist with 12 transgressive icons.
Images that Felice Naalin has painted referencing the Greco-Oriental style of icons on gold leaf. The evening will open, around 11:00 PM, with a collective meditation ritual preparing for the viewing of the invisible angelic.
Iconography and other performances
Following this, a dancer dressed with wings will carry the icons, which will be commented on by a refined scholar such as Bartolomeo Dassisti. A night of particular emotion is anticipated, rich in cultural references and suggestive elements.
The theme of angels, so debated in recent days, is now presented by the well-known artist in an unusual way, outside the traditions of major religions and apocryphal definitions. It involves 12 portly cherubs, enlarged in size and weight, who with postures and gestures highlight the characteristics of the various zodiac signs.
They truly become guardian angels, embodying the traits of the signs. The evening is therefore seen as an important moment for the dissemination of figurative heritage in conjunction with the show. Today, art, truly, has left galleries and museums and can be welcomed in places of lived experiences, places of joy.
Felice Naalin and his career
Anyone who knows Felice Naalin always remembers him as attentive to various lived experiences. He is remembered among the Madonnari, as an art history teacher, and in various television programs.
He is still involved in art therapy with disabled youths and sacred art for the Church of Artists in Rome, as well as serving as Coordinator of the Biennale d’arte sacra di Brera in Milan.
The sacred and the profane, education and information, truly confront within him, becoming a single path of emotion. From asphalt to canvases, to body decoration, to anatomical casts, to wrought iron, and art books.
The meaning of the event and conclusions
An artistic fantasy, anchored in the tradition of classical art. This evening of December 15 at the Sesto Senso Club in Desenzano is dedicated to contemplation, with Felice Naalin again proposing his way of making art in contact with the people, just as he did in the gesture of the Madonnari or when painting female bodies on Canale 5.
