Garda Christmas Events: Photo Contests, Prizes, and Local Competitions

Don’t forget your camera if you’re coming to Garda during the Christmas season. The photographic club “Città di Garda”, in collaboration with the Municipality, has announced a themed contest titled “Christmas among the Olive Trees in Garda”. The prizes consist of stays for two people, in a hotel, in Garda, provided by the hotelier association: one week for the first-place winner, a weekend for the second and third place winners.

Special prizes are also planned for the best sunset, the best landscape, the best night shot, and the best environmental portrait. The contest regulations are available at the Garda IAT information office.

Similarly, in Peschiera, a contest organized by the Associazione Operatori Economici (AOE) makes the town even more inviting during the Christmas period. By shopping at one of the many affiliated stores, participants enter a quite substantial prize draw: the first prize is an Audi A2, the second is a Malaguti 125 motorcycle, and the third is a one-week trip for two people, including meals and accommodation.

There are also other prizes such as an air conditioner, a mobile phone with a prepaid card… Speaking of contests, one cannot forget the Presepi Competition, now in its 6th edition, organized by the Consorzio delle Pro Loco Baldo-Garda in collaboration with the Azienda di Promozione Turistica.

The nativity scenes, divided into three categories, are reported by the local associations and municipalities by December 20th. The award ceremony will be held in Pastrengo on January 14th.
