Valtenesi Mayors Plan Multifunctional Consortium to Boost Cooperation
This time, the mayors of Valtenesi are getting serious: following the slow decline of the Association of Municipalities and after the demise of the idea to establish a Forestry Consortium, an organization comparable to mountain communities, it seems that the administrations of the seven municipalities are now ready to come together in a new form of association.
On the horizon is the creation of a Multifunctional Consortium among the seven towns, which will be announced tomorrow evening during the first Valtenesi mayors’ convention: a new initiative that the area’s first citizens decided to undertake as a sign of the increasingly strong spirit of cooperation characterizing their relationships.
Collaboration activities among the mayors
Such collaboration has materialized in recent months at various levels, involving a series of topics on which the seven mayors have thought and decided together: from the safety project, now ready to start in March, to issues related to road traffic, which saw the mayors coordinate to present a series of proposals to the provincial administration to address problems with the SS572 highway.
All of this also includes the joint development of a study on the commercial reality of the area, aimed at creating a coordinated approach to the commercial plans of the seven municipalities.
Goals of the new consortium
The mayors of Valtenesi are now considering a consortium, a new legal instrument that could help solve common issues across the entire sector, and that will also take care of everything related to the tourism promotion of the area.
