Montichiari Discusses Light Rail Transit Project Ahead of Referendum

In Montichiari, the discussion about light rail transit resumes. The occasion will be a conference scheduled for tomorrow in the Scalvini hall of the Centro Fiera.

The conference, titled «A Cross on the Metro», is promoted by the cultural association «Libertà @ Progresso». The event will start at 10 a.m. with an introduction by Renato Ferrari, followed by speeches from Alberto Cavalli, president of the Provincia di Brescia, Renzo Capra, head of ASM di Brescia, and Enzo Cibaldi, councilor of Forza Italia in the Brescia municipality.

The debate will be coordinated by Angelo Piovanelli. The initiative is linked to the upcoming referendum that will ask Brescia residents to express their opinion on the light rail transit project.

A project destined to alter traffic flow and change the habits of Brescia’s citizens, including the residents of Montichiari and the Bassa Brescia area, which may in the future be connected by the line.
