Riva Municipality and Trade Unions Agree to Open Economic and Employment Forum

A memorandum of understanding between the municipal administration and the territorial trade union organizations to promote, on a regular basis, an open forum regarding the economic and employment situation of the area. This is what was outlined in recent days by representatives of Cgil, Cisl, and Uil and the Riva municipal council during discussions concerning the 2001 financial budget of the municipality.

With this protocol, not yet signed but already drafted, the Riva executive commits to engaging in discussions with the “tripartite” prior to any resolution that concerns decisions of particular importance in administrative choices.

Objective of the collaboration

The goal of the local government and the trade unions is to qualitatively improve the economic and industrial fabric, employment, and social conditions of the area, raise the standards of work and enterprises, and enhance workers’ professional qualifications.

A constructive collaboration between the parties involved aimed at providing tangible support to the most vulnerable segments of the labor market, “in respect – as stated in the document – of the dignity and autonomy deriving from the different roles and institutional responsibilities”.
