Castello Parish Center Reopens with New Youth and Community Spaces

The two-year renovation of the parish center of Castello has been completed, and on March 4th, locals will have the opportunity to visit the new youth center.

The existing wing has been completely refurbished, while the section extending north, the sports fields, and the green areas are entirely new. This will provide parish groups and residents with larger spaces, including a spacious hall for debates, conferences, and screenings.

Program of Celebrations

From Sunday, March 4th, to Friday, March 23rd, a series of events will take place to celebrate the reopening of the parish center. On Sunday, March 4th, Castello is open to everyone for free visits to the renovated youth center, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

On Friday, March 9th, the feast day of San Luigi Gonzaga, the patron saint of youth worldwide, a Holy Mass will be held at the Basilica of San Sebastiano in Castello at 9:30 AM.

On Monday, March 19th, the cross of the World Youth Day returns to Castiglione, and at 7:00 PM, an introductory celebration will take place at the Basilica of San Luigi.

At 8:00 PM, a torchlight procession will depart from the sanctuary towards the castle, where, in the presence of Bishop Monsignor Caporello, the conclusion of the renovation work will be celebrated.

Finally, on Friday, March 23rd, at 8:30 PM, in the new hall of the parish center, an event titled “Looking Forward Together” will be held.
