Regione Funds New Subal Collection Pipeline to Improve Wastewater Treatment

Positive testing for the eight-billion-bili collector. The pipeline, pressurized over the past 48 hours, successfully passed the test without any leaks.

The works, entirely financed by the Regione, complement the already operational sublacual pipeline running from Punta San Vigilio to Cisano di Bardolino, thereby enhancing the system’s capacity to convey wastewater to the Peschiera conurbation treatment plant.

It will be fully operational by the beginning of summer.

Collection network and operation

The sewage from the upper Veronese Lake area and from the Brescia side, collected through a double sublacual collector (Toscolano Maderno-Bardolino), is gathered at the Brancolino station in the municipality of Torri.

From Brancolino, the conurbation collector heads south with two pipes crossing Punta San Vigilio via tunnel.

Near the shoreline, only one of the two pipes continued through the sublacual crossing up to Cisano, in the municipality of Bardolino.
