New Bridge and Exits Easing Traffic to Desenzano and Lake Garda
End of the long lines and the inconveniences experienced over the past year by those who, for pleasure or necessity, had to transit through the Perla area!
By the end of March, the bridge and the new exits for motorway access and for the ring roads will be opened. This news is received with particular joy because reaching Desenzano (and vice versa) had indeed become an ordeal, especially on festive days with the influx of Sunday tourists and heavy traffic congestion.
Details on the opening and construction works
The announcement of the upcoming opening of the new roads, which cost about fifteen billion lire, was made by the provincial public works assessor Mauro Parolini. The bridge and underpass will allow those heading to the lake (or vice versa, to Mantua) to have a quick passage, thus avoiding the at-grade roundabout.
This alternative will be used by motorists intending to go to Lonato or towards Sirmione-Peschiera, who can use the nearby exit for the ring roads. More good news comes in terms of transportation around the lower Garda area: in fact, Veneto has included the Sirmione-Peschiera ring road segment in the list of priority works, committing the relevant funding for the current year.
