Veronese Campsites Pursue ISO 14001 Certification for Eco-Friendly Tourism

The goal is to develop eco-friendly tourism that offers the highest quality services while fully respecting the environment. This is the direction taken by a dozen campsites operating along the Veronese coast of Lake Garda, striving to identify the most suitable environmental policies, a passport toward ISO 14001 quality certification.

The Program and Initiatives

This is an ambitious quality-oriented program launched last year by Assogarda Camping in collaboration with the ecology and tourism departments of the Province. Conducted by the technicians from the Padovan company Sogesca, the operation has completed a detailed assessment of the environmental status of the involved hospitality companies and has highlighted areas for improvement to be considered within the framework of the project.

Current Status and Next Steps

After conducting an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the campsites, the coordination among entrepreneurs has now begun to define the environmental policy to be developed, including engaging customers in the process.
