Tremosine Summer Events and Trail Maps Showcase Cultural and Musical Highlights

Music, culture, cuisine, and hikes. These are the “ingredients” of Tremosine’s summer, which are being promoted these days (and not only in the town) through the publication of a series of leaflets and, for hiking enthusiasts, trail maps.

The library, chaired by Marcello Cobelli, is also bringing back the concert series “Musical Itineraries in Tremosine” for the summer. Curated by artistic director Cesare Maffei, the initiative is sponsored by the Region, Province, Garda Community, Mountain Community, and the Italian Environmental Fund.

Program of musical events

This year, there will be five appointments with singer-songwriter music, covering various hamlets within the municipality. It begins tonight at 9 PM in the church of San Bartolomeo, Vesio, with a concert dedicated to the Italian organ school from the Seventeenth to the Nineteenth centuries. Luca Scandali will play the organ.

Next, on July 31 at 9 PM, “The Romantic Lied” (at the church of San Giovanni, in Pieve) featuring Rosetta Crosatti Silvestri and Andrea Rosa.

On August 11 at 5 PM, at the San Michele hermitage, there will be “The First Classicism in Music“, with Cesare Maffei, Stefano Lonati, and Valentina Ponzoni.

On August 31 at 9 PM, at the church of Sant’Ercolano di Campione, the program will include “The Great Masters of Baroque“. The events conclude on September 9 at 9 PM at the Pieve, with “Italian Popular Music of the 20th Century“, performed by the Coro Montorfano di Coccaglio.

Other proposals and informational material

Additionally, the Pro loco (0365-953185), led by Claudio Arrighini, will add further options to the musical calendar. The leaflet “Tremosine at the Table“, for instance, describes typical dishes and indicates the restaurants that serve them.

It is printed in three languages, just like the new trail map, also from the Pro loco: “Tremosine, Walks, and Excursions“, featuring 30 routes designed by Franco Ghitti.
