Valtenesi Science and Art Exhibit Showcases Student Projects
The exhibition of «Progetto Arte e Scienza – SeT» will remain open until Thursday, June 21st at the Direzione didattica di Manerba, located at via Minerva 1. The display features the work carried out by students of the statal elementary schools within the Circolo didattico, which is in the territory of Valtenesi.
However, this is not your typical end-of-year exhibition. It is a fun journey through the small and big questions of science about water, air, light, sound, and the sky. Visitors can, if they wish, interact with the objects and tools on display to conduct simple but highly effective and enjoyable scientific experiments that the students have already tried during the year.
Approach and Participation in the Exhibition
This project’s approach to scientific education considers how children specifically engage with everyday problems posed by reality. Therefore, drawings and poems related to the topics addressed are also on display. Art and science, therefore, come together as tools for understanding reality.
Reservations for guided tours can be made by calling 0365551055 or by writing to circolomanerba@tin.it.
Presentation and Management of the Exhibition
The exhibition was introduced by Prof. Giuseppe Gambardella from the Università di Genova and by Loris Ramponi, head of the Osservatorio Astronomico di Lumezzane. The «Valtenesi Arte & Scienza» project is managed, in fact, by the Direzione didattica di Manerba in collaboration with the Cooperativa Teatro Laboratorio di Brescia, in partnership with the Università di Genova and the Città della Scienza di Napoli.
