Vicenza Artillerymen Gathering at Peschiera’s Palleria: Events and Parades

Today and tomorrow at the headquarters of the Ana (Associazione Nazionale Alpini) group, the seventh gathering of Vicenza artillerymen is taking place. The assembly is scheduled for 5:00 PM at the Palleria near Porta Verona. The event is sponsored by the Comune di Peschiera in collaboration with the groups from Verona, Basso Lago, and Entroterra.

Today’s Program

At 7:00 PM, a requiem mass will be held at the Santuario del Frassino in memory of the deceased Mario Tonidandel and Claudio Liuti. At 9:00 PM, a concert will take place in the church of San Martino in Peschiera, featuring choirs from the Ana group of Peschiera, El Biron from San Giovanni Ilarione, and the Ana Stella Alpina group from Berzonno, directed respectively by maestros Matteo Longhin, Lorenzo Damini, and Carlo Poletti.

Tomorrow’s Program

The participants’ meeting point will again be at the Palleria at 9:00 AM. At 10:00 AM, a mass will be celebrated. Starting from 11:00 AM, the artillerymen will parade through the city streets, accompanied by the city band and the Tamburini of Pacengo. The parade will reach the Monument of the Fallen, where a wreath will be laid in their honor. Lunch is scheduled for 12:00 PM.

At the end of the ceremony, there will be greetings from Mayor Bruno Dalla Pellegrina. He will be joined by Zone President Alfonso Ercole, Regiment Commander Colonel Donato Lunardon, and Capozona Angelo Erbifori.
