Lonato Inaugurates San Giovanni Battista Polyclinic for Integrated Healthcare
Inauguration of the San Giovanni Battista Polyclinic
No longer scattered clinics across the historic center and the outskirts; instead, a single large “health center” open to the citizens of Lonato, capable of offering not only general practitioners — this was the original plan — but also a range of specialists in various fields of medicine, prestigious consultations, and diagnostic and examination services.
This is the San Giovanni Battista Polyclinic, inaugurated Sunday within the multifunctional complex “La Rocca” in via Cesare Battisti. Father Mons. Giuseppe Boaretto had the task of blessing the building and cutting the ribbon before touring the modern facilities of the structure.
Details about the opening and services
It should be noted that, from an operational perspective, the polyclinic, which will host eight of the nine family doctors present in Lonato, will only be ready and accessible in about ten days.
“I hope that around this important service structure,” said Mons. Boaretto among other things, “volunteering will also develop, capable of handling transportation, especially for patients living on the outskirts or in the hamlets…”
Certainly, the overall quality offered by the Polyclinic will eventually allow for overcoming any initial inconveniences related to the new location, at the town entrance and within the shopping center.
Presence during the ceremony and integration with the complex
At the brief ceremony, a sizable delegation of doctors, health officials, the designer of the building, geom. Roberto Abate, and for the Municipal Administration, the Finance Councilor Roberto Baruffolo, were present.
With the operation of this polyclinic, the offering of the “La Rocca” complex in La Piena will be fully completed, which already hosts a supermarket, a series of retail shops, a pharmacy, and the Unified Tax Office, the first to establish itself on October 27 of last year.
The logic behind creating a single meeting point for taxpayers and the tax administration is the same that convinced the doctors to establish a reference health center.
