Lega’s Quartiere Project Addresses Community Issues in Castiglione

The Quartiere Project initiated by the local section of the Lega Nord continues. The first meeting held in the Campasso-Palazzina area, with a gazebo set up in the parking lot near the operational headquarters of the Croce Rossa, provided an opportunity for Lega representatives to delve into the issues most felt by the community, and later share them with the general public.

Among the issues highlighted was the problem of thefts, which had already been brought to the attention of authorities through a petition of two hundred signatures addressed to the mayor and the Sicurezza Commissione. Another sensitive topic, everywhere in Castiglione as well, is traffic management.

This is especially true for the access of Via Canonica into Via Campasso, worsened by the increased traffic due to more residents moving into Via Isabella d’Este. Among the proposals from residents was the idea of making the bridge over Arnò, which connects the aforementioned street with Via Nenni and the provincial road to Esenta, passable again.

Traffic reports and Lega initiatives

The topic relates to recent reports from the Consul of the Primo Maggio, who is requesting a roundabout at the intersection with Via Lonato. This demand will become even clearer if residents from Campasso also use this route.

The secretary of the Lega, Mauro Bellomi, is determined to resolve the issue. “We will pass these complaints to the city council,” Bellomi explains. “Our project to listen to the neighborhoods has started well; credit goes to the party’s organizational leader, Cesare Rossetti.”

Of course, the experience is not limited to Campasso and Palazzina; a second gazebo is already scheduled for Sunday the 11th at Staffolo, located between the provincial road to Carpendolo and the section of the ex Goitese leading towards Mantua.

Here, too, longstanding problems have been repeatedly reported to the municipal administration by the neighborhood committee, such as the exit of the bus terminal area and the transit of trucks to and from gravel quarries.

Because of this, Lega expects a good turnout, between 10 am and 12 pm, in the parking lot between the votive kiosk and the butcher shop.
