Lake Garda Scam Alert: Fake Carabinieri Offer Fake Magazine Subscriptions

Pretending to be carabinieri, they contact hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs around Lake Garda by phone, offering subscriptions to magazines associated with the force.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who periodically claim to be part of the finance police, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately alert the real carabinieri – just dial 112 – as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who, after receiving money, disappear without a trace.
