They impersonate carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the central and upper Garda area, offering magazine subscriptions from the Armed Forces.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, each time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.
