Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Area Phone Fraud

They impersonate carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurant owners in the middle and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to Arma magazines.

They are not military personnel but scammers who, each time, claim to belong to finance, the police, firefighters, or municipal police.

Beware of scams and how to respond

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those with no relation to law enforcement agencies.

So, be cautious and immediately notify the carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
