Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the middle and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to Arma magazine.

They are not military personnel but scammers who, on various occasions, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or publications that have no connection to law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, stay vigilant and immediately notify the carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
