Scammers Pose as Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They are posing as carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the middle and upper Garda area, offering magazine subscriptions from the Arma.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, each time, claim to belong to financial authorities, the police, firefighters, or municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
