Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Phone Calls to Sell Fake Magazines

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurant owners in Middle and Upper Garda, proposing subscriptions to military magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, each time, claim to belong to Finance, the police, fire brigade, or municipal officers.

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the real Carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you’ve become a target of individuals who,
