Fake Carabinieri Scams Targeting Local Businesses in Garda

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant operators in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines affiliated with the force.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or municipal guards.
