Scammers Impersonating Carabinieri Offer Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant operators in Medio e Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

They are not members of the military but scammers who, each time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or municipal officers.

How to Recognize Scams

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or to publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately inform the Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
