Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurant owners in the Middle and Upper Garda, proposing subscriptions to the army magazines.

These individuals are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement authorities.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately inform the real Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by someone who,
