Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Area for Fake Magazine Offers

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hotel owners, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, offering subscriptions to arm magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, the police, firefighters, or the Municipal police.

Recognizing the scams

They often suggest subscriptions to fake magazines or publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.
