Garda Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Phone Fraud Schemes

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to the armed force‘s magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance authorities, the police, firefighters, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams
