Scammers Pose as Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

Pretending to be Carabinieri, they contact hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, proposing subscriptions to the arma magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or municipal Vigili.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately alert the Carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by those who,

having money, no longer show themselves.
