Garda Region Scammers Pose as Carabinieri to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They pose as Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda region, proposing subscriptions to the arm magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, firefighters, or Comune (Municipal Authority) police.

How to recognize scams

They often suggest subscriptions to fake magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately inform the genuine Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
