Arco Marks 150 Years of Carnival with Historic Celebrations and Performances

Arco’s Carnival celebrates its 150th anniversary with a special program scheduled for February 7-8 and 13-15, featuring a 150-meter cake, commemorative medal, historical book, and a delegation from Viareggio’s Carnival Foundation. The event, organized by Pro loco di Arco, will take place in the historic center and Viale delle Palme, offering 18 free performances starting at 2:30 PM daily, with Carlo Modena as speaker and an expected turnout of over 5,000 participants.

Highlights include the satirical Arcorida evening on February 13, a cake-cutting ceremony on February 15 with chef Marcello Franceschi, children’s shows like Bubble Baby Dance and Magic Karen Show, performances by Mago Vigo and Aequilibrium Fantasy, and caricaturist Valentino Villanova. The event was officially presented on February 5 at Palazzo Marcabruni Giuliani, with local officials and community organizations in attendance.
