Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, proposing subscriptions to the arme magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, the fire brigade, or the Comune police.

How to recognize scams

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to the law enforcement.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately report to the Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by someone who,
