Fraudulent Calls Impersonating Carabinieri Target Garda Businesses

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to the arma magazines.

These are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or the Comune police.

How to recognize scams

They often suggest subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.

So, be cautious and immediately notify the genuine Carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
