Lonato Honors Foibe Victims with Memorial and Rose for Norma

On February 8, 2026, a commemorative ceremony was held at the park in Via Brenta, Filatoio, to mark the Day of Remembrance for victims of the foibe. Organized by the Fratelli d’Italia circle led by Fulvio Cipriani, the event took place at a monument dedicated to Norma Cossetto.

Norma Cossetto, an Istrian student, was murdered by Yugoslav partisans near Villa Surani. During the ceremony, Cipriani read a tribute highlighting her sacrifice and symbolic importance for national memory. Participants laid red roses at the monument and observed a minute of silence.
