An evening dedicated to culture and art took place on June 19th at the sculpture park of the Viridarium in Brescia. The event, organized jointly by Feralpi Group, the Municipality of Brescia, and the Brescia Museums Foundation, highlighted the work “Mondo D’Acciaio” by master Emilio Isgrò, which was donated to the city in December 2023.

The event represents a further step in the process of enhancing Isgrò’s work. After a twin sculpture was installed at Feralpi’s headquarters in April, the evening saw the participation of prominent figures from the cultural scene. Stefano Karadjov, Director of the Brescia Museums Foundation, moderated the meeting, which included Francesca Bazoli, President of the Brescia Museums Foundation, Giovanni Pasini, Delegate Councilor of Feralpi Group, and the Master Emilio Isgrò himself.

The debate focused on the central theme in Isgrò’s works: the power and importance of words. This topic offered significant insights for deep reflections throughout the evening.

Subsequently, the participants attended the theater performance “Tutti viviamo in riva al mare” (We all live by the sea) performed by Marco Paolini. Known for his commitment to civil theater since the 1970s, Paolini presented a show that intertwines art and social commitment. Together with evolutionary scientist Telmo Pievani, Paolini conceived “La Fabbrica del mondo” (The Factory of the World), a television program that explores environmental issues and future global scenarios.

During the performance, Paolini created a dialogue between his artistic project and Emilio Isgrò’s “Mondo d’acciaio” (World of Steel). This exchange between two different but complementary artistic visions stimulated a common reflection on change and the importance of collective storytelling.

Giovanni Pasini expressed great satisfaction with the success of the event: “Feralpi Group is proud to have supported this initiative, which yesterday found continuity in an event of high artistic and cultural value.” He emphasized how these moments are crucial for promoting dialogue between art, culture, and civic engagement: “The success of the evening testifies to the importance of moments that promote dialogue between art, culture, and civic engagement.”

Pasini also highlighted how companies not only create jobs and wealth but also contribute to the cultural growth of the community: “Companies create jobs and wealth for their stakeholders… but the dreams, the content of these projects, are given by the cultural context in which an individual is inserted.”
