An important event will take place on Friday, August 9th at 9:00 PM at the Vittoriale degli Italiani: a musical tribute to the renowned composer Ennio Morricone. The event, titled “Musiche da Oscar” (Oscar Music), will feature the participation of prominent artists and will be an unmissable occasion for music and cinema lovers.
The concert will be enhanced by the presence of the all-female instrumental group, Ensemble Le Muse, which has already represented Italian musical excellence on prestigious occasions such as the inauguration of the Italian presidency semester at the EU, with concerts in Ankara and Istanbul. This ensemble has also received the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic during a performance at the Mohamed V Theater in Rabat, Morocco.
Leading the ensemble will be Maestro Andrea Albertini, an internationally renowned pianist and conductor. The creator of the show and founder of Ensemble Le Muse, Albertini has collaborated with numerous soloists and renowned orchestras, performing in major Italian and international theaters. In addition to conducting the orchestra, Albertini will also sit at the piano and introduce the various pieces in the program.
The evening will also feature the extraordinary participation of the Italian-Swedish soprano, Susanna Rigacci, known for being the solo voice in Morricone’s compositions since 2001. Her presence will add further prestige to the event, paying homage to the unforgettable soundtracks that have marked the history of cinema.
Furthermore, the captivating voice of Angelica Depaoli will contribute to recreating the magical atmospheres of the films accompanied by Morricone’s music, offering the audience an immersive and emotional experience.
