On Monday, July 8, 2024, the municipality of Lonato del Garda will be crossed by the 35th Giro d’Italia Femminile, an event that will involve significant changes to local traffic. From 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, several roads will be closed to traffic to allow the passage of cyclists, as indicated in the official note prot. n. 25452 received on June 20, 2024.

To ensure the safety and smooth running of the race, a total closure of traffic will be implemented from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the following streets:

– From the beach of Lonato del Garda
– Via Catullo
– Roundabout via Marconi (Padenghe sul Garda Municipality)
– Santa Giulia, Maguzzano, Ambrosina, Tugurio, Soiolo, and Monico streets
– Via Cesare Battisti
– Piazza Gramsci
– Corso G. Garibaldi
– Via Roma
– Via Molini
– Via Cassetta
– Via Statale up to the border with the Municipality of Calcinato

In addition, a no parking with forced removal will be in effect from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm on Corso G. Garibaldi and Via Roma. This measure is necessary to keep the roads clear of parked vehicles that could obstruct the race route.

To minimize inconvenience to residents and motorists during the temporary road closures, alternative routes have been set up:

1. Vehicles traveling north of the route should use the SP11 Tangenziale Sud Provincial Road to bypass the restrictions and head towards Verona or Brescia without delays.
2. Vehicles traveling south of the route can use Via Trivellino to reach the new connection ramp to SP236, avoiding the areas affected by the closures and being able to continue towards Verona or Brescia without any issues.

Local authorities urge all citizens and businesses to take note of the traffic modifications and to plan ahead to minimize any inconvenience caused by the sports event.
